Meet Our Team

“I am finding peace where I am.”

– Morgan Harper Nichols

Why Choose Jenet Dove Counseling?

There are so many reasons but the main one is simple — we help women live a softer life.

One where you experience balance and peace.

We’d love to support you on this journey.

Meet Jenet Dove, LPC

(pronounced JUH-net, like Jeanette)

Founder · Licensed Professional Counselor · Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator

I’d rather you think of me as an advocate for people learning to find their peace — and protect it.

Over a decade ago, I started my own crusade toward peace. Before that, perfectionism had tied my self-worth to my income, my GPA, and the number on the scale — and it was quietly costing me my relationships, including the one with myself. I didn’t like who I was becoming, so I made a choice: rewrite the story and rebuild my worth. Therapy is where I did it.

Peace is my priority now, and I protect it at all cost. It’s what lets me show up as the best mother, sister, and friend — and the best advocate for the women this practice serves.

Today I focus on what I do best: leading Jenet Dove Counseling, championing this work through speaking and writing, and making sure everyone who comes to us is cared for by a therapist I trust completely. I’m no longer seeing new individual clients myself — that work is now in the capable hands of Terra Ousley — but the mission is unchanged. Despite what life may have led you to believe about yourself, you deserve all the good things.

Areas of expertise: over-functioning perfectionism, high-functioning anxiety, imposter syndrome, burnout, boundaries, and career and relationship challenges.

Education: M.Ed. in Counseling, University of Houston · B.S. in Communication, University of Texas at Austin

Credentials: LPC #79131 · Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator · Eddins Counseling Group · UT Employee Assistance Program

Meet Terra Ousley, LPC-Associate

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate · Gottman-Trained (Level 1)

Hi, I’m Terra — and I’m really glad you’re here.

I work with young adults who are doing everything right on the outside but still feel like something’s off underneath. Anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship stress, a big life transition you didn’t quite see coming — if any of that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation: warm, honest, and built around you. My approach draws on evidence-based methods — Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Level 1 for couples — grounded in genuine care for the person sitting across from me.

I’m currently accepting new clients, and I’d love to connect.

Areas of focus: anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship stress, life transitions, and young-adult challenges.

Education: M.A. in Counselor Education, University of Texas at Austin

Credentials: LPC-Associate · CPT · CBT · Gottman Level 1 · Experience across trauma clinics, college campuses, and private practice
